Basic Background, pre-Vento Aureo
Prosciutto has always grown up in Italy for his entire life. His family was small, but strangely rich for just owning a butcher shop. In all reality, his uncles were apart of Passione, using the butchery as a coverup for the drug deals being done there. It wasn’t uncommon to see the everyday Italian man going to a butcher every night to get some meat for their dinner after work. He lived a pretty privileged life, completely oblivious from his father and uncle’s dirty dealings. He lived with them through his teenage years, getting ready to move out and go to college at the age of 19. But one night, a rival Cappo had broken in and shot both his parents in their sleep. Prosciutto had escaped their wrath by hiding under his bed, awakening the Grateful Dead in pure fear. The intruders aged at an unbelievable rate, before dropping dead. Prosciutto knew no one would believe him, so he took his fathers belongings and ran. After going through it, he found a few contacts, and eventually got into La Squadra at 20 years old. Prosciutto gained his codename from his parent’s lifelong career, even after finding their drug dealing. Prosciutto, his father’s favorite delicacy of the butchery. The rest, well, you must certainly know.

He is not Pesci’s biological brother, Aniki is more of a respectful term for Prosciutto.Risotto was the first member that Prosciutto met.Prosciutto and Risotto are quite close, they talk quite personally about themselves and the good of the team. He still sees him as a superior. He is mean to Pesci because he loves him. That’s how he was raised, seeing his uncles beat up on his father, seeing how strong a man he was. He will apologize to Pesci if his anger gets the best of him, which isn’t a lot, for example the scene where he stomped Pesci on the train. That’s not a usual occurrence. Prosciutto is a chain smoker.Always has a flask tucked away in his coat pocket. Usually something very strong, might as well be rubbing alcohol. Prosciutto is into dirty dealings in the gang. He does not shy away from crime. He has his favorite prostitutes, knows his best buyers, and even indulges in some drugs from the Boss. He is not addicted, but he will occasionally do a line or two. Always playing Boomer music. Low key loves early 2000’s pop (ex: Gwen Stefani “Rich Girl”, Ayesha Erotica “Vacation Bible School”, Pussy Cat Dolls “When I Grow Up”, etc.)Lives lavishly. He’s a high maintenance princess. Formally trained with guns.He has feelings for Risotto, even getting close to a one night stand or two in drunken stupors, but never going through. He knows this would never happen.Honestly has feelings for Pesci, he will never admit this, and hates himself for it slightly. Still, he would never go to the lengths he does for Pesci for any of the other members (including Risotto). Kind of an old man at heart. Watches Jeopardy and shit like that, turns it off when someone comes into his room.Touch-starved. Won’t admit this either.Honestly very tired and broken. Needs a nap. Maybe some therapy.
